Assisting families and caregivers on how to research for resources that are available within their natural community setting(s) online or through other agencies. FC provides a supportive role to families and caregivers to define the individual short and long-term goalsfor the child at home and in the community.

This gives modeling for families and caregivers on how to develop ways that enhance their child’s ability to socialize and to communicate in the home and community.

It also assists families and caregivers with developing appropriate behavior strategies that promote self-expression skills that help their child to manage the day-to-day stressors that may occur in the home and community.

At Soaring Stars, our Family Consultants have years of experience working with individuals with autism and families in a variety of roles that incorporate different needs for developing and addressing the unique needs of our individuals. These strategies and/or techniques provide families and caregivers with teaching tools that facilitate communication, social skills, self-help skills, and self-confidence in the home and the community settings for our individuals.
